Awareness Program on “Blood Donation”
The Red Ribbon Club,Livingstone Foundation College, organized an Awareness Program on “Blood Donation” on 11 March in the college auditorium. The program aimed to raise awareness among students about the importance of voluntary blood donation and to encourage a responsible and positive attitude towards this life-saving act.
The program featured Dr. Mejungsangla Longkumer, Junior Consultant and Blood Bank Officer ,CIHSR as the resource person. In her address, she highlighted the significance of blood donation, explained the eligibility criteria, and addressed common misconceptions related to blood donation. She also emphasized the vital role of voluntary donors in ensuring an adequate supply of blood for patients in need.
The program was informative and enriching, enabling students to gain a deeper understanding of the value of voluntary blood donation and inspiring them to contribute to society through this noble humanitarian act.
