International Yoga Day – Inter House Quiz Competition
Livingstone Foundation International celebrated the International Yoga Day on the 21st of June’21 via Online access. In commemoration of which the school organised an Online Inter House Quiz Competition via Zoom which the students actively took part in. Students from the four major houses namely MATTHEW, MARK, LUKE and JOHN competed against each other for the Inter House Quiz Competition on the topic Health, Fitness and Yoga. The event kicked off with an invocation by Miss Medozhanuo Tepa, the school Chaplin. Thereon, the Chairman Dr. Andrew Ahoto Sema graced the event as Guest of honour who in his address to the attendees and participants welcomed each one heartily and emphasized on the importance of co-curricular activities and why it is even more significant in our current circumstances where students are confined within the walls of their homes. He concluded by encouraging a greater number of students to come forward and take active part in the upcoming activities. Following which, Mrs Ani Yepthomi, the Director also invigorated the participants with few words of advice and encouragement.
Thereafter, the Quiz competition was conducted by the coordinator Mr Manish Singh Gurung with assistance from Mr Karan Ghebring and Mr Probir Sangma as score keeper and time keeper respectively. The house Mentors and around 50 students from Grade IX to XII attended the competition.

Matthew : Miss Chokjenchila T Jamir Grade XII Sc and Miss Arti Kumari Sharma Grade XII Com
Mark : Miss Mutsulu Vennuh Grade XII B Arts and Miss Rishita Deka Grade XII Sc
Luke : Miss Adora Avitoli Yepthomi Grade X A and Master Ningsangjemba Walling Grade X C
John: Master Kelingulie Nagi grade XII A Arts and Miss Vinyuhunuo Dzuvichu Grade XII Sc
After a vigorous battle of four rounds, John house bagged the winning title with 210 points while Luke house bagged the second place with 170 points winning the tie breaker with Mark house, who had to settle with third position with 160 points. Matthew house gave their best effort however, the competition was tough and so they settled in the fourth position with 145 points. The Online event was successfully carried out safely despite the many challenges of organising Virtual events. LFI remains grateful and motivated to keep the spirit of active and fun learning experience on, even during the hurdles of a pandemic lockdown.
