Speaking during the occasion, Mr. Andrew Ahoto, Chairman of the school dwelt on the concept and philosophy of giving and taking which has to go side by side he used the metaphor and anecdote of the Dead Sea and the Sea of Galilee which though fed by the same waters from the Jordan River were two diverse entities. While the Sea of Galilee remains fresh due to the presence of an outlet, the water of the Dead Sea was always stagnant due to which the water remains saline and muddy throughout the year. He conceptualized the idea that teachers must be like the Sea of Galilee and give out their very best to the students and society at large. The other speaker on the occasion was Mr. Arthur Edwards, Administrator of the school who called upon the teaching fraternity to be responsible and dutiful towards their job so that the children would keep benefiting out of their educational career at LFHSS.
Going by the Stonites convention of honouring the teachers who have completed 10 to 25 years of service in the school, 5 Mentors and 1 Non-Teaching Staff Member were felicitated by the Co-Administrator, Mrs. Nisheli Edwards during the occasion.
