HIV & STI Awareness 2026

The students and faculty members of Livingstone Foundation College (LFC) participated in the State-level Launch of the Intensified Information, Education & Communication (IEC) Campaign 3.0 on HIV & STI Awareness, organised by the Nagaland State AIDS Control Society (NSACS), Government of Nagaland, on 12th August 2026 at Agri Expo, 4th Mile, Chümoukedima.

The programme was graced by Shri P. Paiwang Konyak, Hon’ble Minister, Health & Family Welfare, Government of Nagaland, as the Special Guest. The programme included welcome remarks, an invocation, a keynote address, brief remarks by dignitaries, a special song, an address by the Special Guest, and the taking of the HIV & STI Awareness Pledge.

The launch also featured the presentation “Red Ribbons of Hope” by Chümoukedima Dance & Fit’s Studio, followed by a group photograph, the flag-off of the Health on Bikes initiative and IIC 2026 Bike Rally, and visits to exhibition stalls and activity zones.

The participation provided the students and faculty with an opportunity to gain greater awareness of HIV and sexually transmitted infections, their prevention, and the importance of reducing stigma and promoting responsible health practices. It also encouraged young people to actively contribute towards creating a more informed, inclusive, and health-conscious society.

The participation of Livingstone Foundation College in the campaign reflects the institution’s commitment to promoting health awareness, social responsibility, and meaningful community engagement among its students.
