ESTABLISHMENT
The school has been founded on the pattern of the conventional Public School by the Livingstone Foundation Society since 1988. It is a residential cum day school and offers Co-educational facilities. It was established on 15th October, 1988 with the total enrollment of 52 students from Classes : LKG to III. There were 40 boarders and 12 day scholars. At present the school comfortably accommodates 1500 students with modern Boarding facilities for an average of 500 students. Every class section has been well balanced with teacher-student ratio to ensure personalized teaching since increase in numbers would jeopardize one of the Livingstone Foundation School’s educational Principles, namely, the importance of maintaining individual relationships between the teachers and students. This school has been recognized and upgraded upto class : XII as per CBSE Affiliation No. 1430014, with all the Streams viz. Arts, Science and Commerce.
Indeed, Livingstone Foundation Hr. Sec. School has just stepped out of 25th years of its Glorious Silver Jubilee celebration in 2013, with spectacular & mega celebration. 25 years have been witness to a transformation in school education, blazing a trail and leaving indelible footprints on the sands of time. In fact that was exactly what Stonite was meant to do, and destined to do in future too – a revolution in the field of school education, ensuring a student-centred ambiance, fully focused on the welfare of children with a view to fashioning them into capable, useful and finer human beings.
Livingstone Foundation Hr. Sec. School strives to provide the best possible facilities to its students, including a highly qualified teaching faculty, with the ultimate aim of providing an education of the highest order. The School has a streamlined administrative arrangement, with Head Teachers for each section and a well balanced teacher-student ratio to ensure personalized teaching. In spite of such capital-intensive reforms, the School charges reasonable fees in comparison with any CBSE private run schools in Nagaland, sufficient to meet its actual financial commitments.
Livingstone Foundation Hr. Sec. School at Dimapur has stood as a beacon for education from the year in which it was founded- 1988- till today.
