LIVINGSTONE FOUNDATION HR. SEC. SCHOOL BIDS ADIEU TO GRADE-XII STUDENTS
The management, teachers and students of Livingstone Foundation Hr. Sec. School bid an emotional adieu to the outgoing Grade-XII students in a colourful and memorable Farewell Function organized by the Class-11 students and the management on the 6th of March 2017 at the School’s Auditorium.
The programme which started at 10:30 am was compered by Mr. Promith Dey of Grade-XI Sc. and Ms. Rumila Phungshok Grade-XI Com. The invocation prayer was led by Mrs. Ani Yepthomi, Director of Junior High. It was followed by numerous entertaining items including songs and dances presented by the Grade-XI students as well as the outgoing students from Grade-XII.
In his exhortation, Administrator of the school, Mr. Arthur Edwards encouraged the students to follow the path of honour and discipline to succeed in life. He also highlighted the exemplary achievements made by some of the alumni of the school which has made the school immensely proud.
Mr. Andrew Ahoto, the Chairman of the School in his speech called upon the students to always remember their roots and to soar and rise high in the sky of achievements like an eagle yet humbling themselves. Through his usual manner of encouraging through heart touching anecdotes and examples, he exhorted the outgoing students to make the best possible use of the gift of talents and skills that God has bestowed upon them. He advised the students to reflect the spirit of Livingstone and its upbringing by being disciplined and smart in every aspect of their life.
Some of the other highlights of the function included the presentation to the outgoing Class-12 students which was done by Mrs. Ani Yepthomi, Director of Junior High and Mr. Arthur Edwards, Administrator. Speeches on behalf of the outgoing students were presented by Miss Vilivi P. Aye of Grade-XII Sc. Miss Zeba Rahman of Grade-XII. Earlier, a special speech entitled ‘Adieu Seniors’ was presented on behalf of Grade-XI students by Miss Duangaimeilu Panmei of Grade-XI Arts.
The other special highlights of the function included ‘Classical Fusion’ dance by students of Grade-XI Com, ‘Crazy’ by Miss Margereth Snock of Grade-XI Arts, ‘Free Style Dance’ by Mr. Vepi and Mr. Molungnen of Grade-XI Sc. and a very special instrumental, ‘Canon Rock’ by Mr. Amos P. Ovung of Grade-XI Arts. Mr. Pauly Varghese, spoke on behalf of the teaching staff. Besides all these, the programme was made solemn by the showcasing of a special video highlighting the lighter moments of Grade-XII students in the school.
