DETAILS OF THE EVENT:
A combined Assembly and School Reopening Programme was held at the Junior School Block on 19th April 2017. The programme was compered by Mr. Vernon Fernandez, Asst. Co-Ordinator. School Prayer was led by Pastor Johnson while the Welcome Speech was delivered by Mr. Andrew Ahoto, Chairman cum Principal of Livingstone Foundation Hr. Sec. School. He also formally opened the new session of 2017-18 by welcoming all the students, parents and teachers on the occasion.
The Chairman of LFHSS, through his encouraging speech, highlighted the positive aspects of Livingstone Foundation Hr. Sec. School to the gathering which included many parents, guardians and well-wishers. He also highlighted many new and constructive reforms for the student community which would benefit the parents which included the introduction of Sumi language as a 3rd language for Sumi students and also for anyone interested in it. He also spoke about the newly installed CCTV cameras in both the school campus as well as School Buses which would help in the security and well being of the students. The other new programmes which were highlighted by the Chairman included the introduction of Photography Classes for all interested students under some well trained professionals.
The Chairman’s speech was followed by the announcements made by the Principal (Academics) Mr. Prabhat Mandal who announced the schedules for the upcoming days. The brief programme came to a close with the School Song which was led by Ms. Grace Yanthan and Mr. Amos Y. Ovung, both from Grade-XII.
The attendance ensued shortly afterwards in which the Roll-Call was taken by the respective Class-Teachers and then the students were released for the day. After the students left a General Staff Meeting was conducted at the Chapel Hall which was again compered by Mr. Vernon Fernandez.
