Livingstone Foundation International, organised a Suicide Prevention Seminar for the students of Grades XI and XII on 14th September 2026, in observance of World Suicide Prevention Day.

The session was led by Ms. Zhimoholi S. Zhimomi, Chaplain-cum-Counselor, LFI, with Ms. Lovitoli Awomi, Counseling Psychologist and Founder of Lapiye Centre for Mental Well-being, Dimapur, as the resource person.

Speaking on the theme “Changing the Narrative on Suicide,” Ms. Awomi encouraged students to replace stigma with empathy and highlighted the importance of open communication, acceptance, emotional well-being, healthy sleep, and seeking help when needed.

Students were also encouraged to speak to trusted teachers, counselors, family members, or friends when going through difficult times, and to support those around them with understanding and care.

The interactive session provided students with practical ways to manage stress, support their peers, and seek help without shame.
