Two days of learning, reflection and meaningful conversations came to an end at Livingstone Foundation International School, Nagaland, as we hosted the CBSE Teachers’ Training Programme on “Strengthening Assessment and Evaluation Practices” on 17th–18th August 2026.
Organised by the CBSE Centre of Excellence (CoE), Guwahati, the programme brought together educators from six schools for an engaging professional learning experience.
The sessions were led by Mr. Hemanta Payeng, Principal, Mangaldai Maharshree Vidyalaya Mandir, Darrang, Assam, whose insights and interactive sessions helped teachers look at assessment beyond marks and results- as a meaningful tool to understand learners, identify their needs and improve learning outcomes.
Across the two days, teachers shared experiences, participated in discussions and explored practical ways to make classroom assessment more purposeful, learner-centred and aligned with the CBSE curriculum.
Participating schools included Hope Academy School, Shemrock School, Rameshwari Karuna School, Delhi Public School, St. Mary’s Higher Secondary School, and Livingstone Foundation International School.
As the host institution, LFI was honoured to provide the platform for educators to connect, learn from one another and strengthen their assessment practices.
A meaningful two days of professional growth, collaboration and learning- with ideas to take back into the classroom.
