Livingstone Foundation International School, Nagaland, India, was proud to participate in a Cultural & Educational Exchange Programme with Thimphu Primary School, Bhutan, from 9–13 August 2026.
The exchange gave our students an opportunity to learn beyond the classroom through culture, interaction, travel and real-world experiences.
The programme included a warm traditional welcome, meaningful student interactions and classroom participation. Each LFI student was paired with a Bhutanese student of the same grade, creating opportunities for friendship, conversation and learning.
A special highlight was sharing Nagaland through presentations and traditional attire representing different Naga tribes, proudly showcasing our culture and identity.
The students also visited Takin Zoo and Buddha Point, explored Phuentsholing and local markets, and watched an international football match between Bhutan and Afghanistan, adding another memorable experience to their journey.
Beyond textbooks, the exchange helped our students grow in confidence, independence, adaptability, communication and respect for other cultures.
Most importantly, it reminded us that education has no borders. A conversation can become a lesson, and a friendship can become a bridge between cultures.
