COE Training on Social Emotional Learning (SEL)

Empowering educators beyond academics 🌱Livingstone Foundation International successfully conducted a CBSE Capacity Building Programme on Social Emotional Learning (SEL) on 09 May 2026 for the teaching faculty of the institution.

The enriching session was led by Er Siddhartha Deb, former Principal of Army Public School Missamari and an experienced educational trainer. The programme focused on the importance of emotional well-being, empathy, self-awareness, communication, and relationship-building in creating a positive and emotionally safe learning environment.

Through interactive activities, group discussions, collaborative tasks, and reflective exercises, teachers gained valuable insights into understanding students’ emotional needs and fostering supportive, inclusive, and engaging classrooms.

The session also highlighted the five core competencies of SEL:

• Self-Awareness

• Self-Management

• Social Awareness

• Relationship Skills

• Responsible Decision-Making

Teachers were guided on integrating SEL into everyday classroom practices to encourage resilience, teamwork, emotional regulation, and healthy interpersonal relationships among students.

The programme concluded successfully with active participation from the faculty members, making it a truly meaningful and enriching learning experience for all.
