Learning Beyond the Classroom:
The Paddy Harvest Experience
On 17th October 2025, eight students from Livingstone Foundation International, guided by two mentors, journeyed to the historic village of Khonoma, Nagaland, for an unforgettable hands-on learning experience. Known for its rich heritage and sustainable farming, Khonoma became our classroom beyond walls-where lessons were learned through action, not books.
The students immersed themselves in paddy harvesting, guided by local farmers, cutting, bundling, and collecting the golden grains with curiosity and teamwork. Every laugh, every shared task, and every moment in the fields became a lesson in gratitude, perseverance, and respect for the land and those who nurture it.
