International Day Of The Girl Child LFHSS 2018

It was indeed a special moment for the girl students of Livingstone Foundation Hr. Sec. School, when they gathered at the LFHSS Auditorium for celebrating the International Day of the Girl Child on 11th October 2018.
The special programme was conducted by the female mentors headed by Director of LFHSS, Mrs. Ani Yepthomi who was also the main resource person on the occasion. The programme which began at around 10:00 AM started with the Invocation Prayer by Miss Supongbenla after which there was an Ice-Breaking exercise for the girls conducted by Mrs. Ani Yepthomi after which she gave a short but encouraging talk on the significance of the day. Then the floor was opened for all to share their thoughts on the occasion.
The students who spoke on the values and essence of being a girl were Miss. Talika Jain, Miss Dimple Jain, Miss Komal Jain. Miss Vanthunglo spoke on behalf of the Mentors. The programme came to an end at around 12:00 Noon with the benediction by Mrs. Ani Yepthomi, Director.
The observation of the International Day of the Girl Child or International Day of Girls is observed every year on 11th October. It is observed to support more opportunity for girls and to increase awareness of gender equality around the globe.
