Magnum Opus IV By Act Of Kindness 2018

The annual Art and Music Festival ‘Magnum Opus-IV’ was held at Urban Haat, Walford, Dimapur on 24th and 25th October 2018 which was organized by Act of Kindness. All together 27 students from Livingstone Foundation Hr. Sec. School participated in various events which included 13 students in Cosplay event, 4 students in Fine Arts and 10 students in Story Writing and Poetry Competitions.
The festival saw a variety of activities including Cosplay, Fine Arts display, Live Competition, Photography and Live Concert. The main aim of the festival was to encourage young people in art and music and to bring together artistes and learn from each other. The event was also organized to encourage all the local artistes wherein demonstrations and workshops covering all types of art including fine arts, poetry, writing, photography, videography, singing, dancing and instrumentals.
Day-1 of the festival which was held on 24th Oct. 2018 saw participants from various institutions and organizations participating in Poetry, Short Story Writing, Folk Story Writing Workshop, Art & Painting Competition, Photography Workshop and Music Competition. Day-2 which was held on 25th Oct. 2018 was made resplendent with color when students as well as individuals from other backgrounds showcased their talents in Cosplay which was mainly based on Gaming, Anime Characters and Animation Heroes.
Stonites made a complete sweep as they stole the show by winning the 1st Prize in the Cosplay event while in Story Writing event Miss Cynthia Pochury of Grade-XI and Miss Elizabeth Snock of Grade-IX won the 1st and the 2nd Prizes respectively. Miss Khrivozonuo Khesoh of Grade-XII had to contend with a 3rd place in the Fine Arts event.
The students also had the privilege of attending a special workshop on Poetry and Short Story where renowned authors like Dr. Srutimala Duara, Mrs. Mitra Phukan, Mr. Dhubra Hazarika and Mrs. Tialila Kikon were the resource persons. The workshop on Folk Story was conducted by Miss Sentilong Ozukum, author of the book ‘Sincerely Yours.’ The students also engaged in interactive session with the authors.
Some of the artistes and bands who performed in the Live Concert event included Kekhrie Ringa, Since 90’s, Imsumanen, Nungshiyanger, Ambush, Kenny & The Faith Band, Kimatsung, Mune Shiu and King’s Generation.
