AWARENESS CAMPAIGN ON NATIONAL CLEAN AIR PROGRAMME 2024

A two-day Awareness Campaign on the National Clean Air Programme (NCAP) was conducted at Livingstone Foundation International on the 7th and 9th September 2024 by the District Administration, Dimapur in collaboration with Livingstone Foundation Society and Breeze Women Welfare Association (BWWA) under the theme ‘Celebrating International Clean Air for Blue Skies.’

The inaugural function of the programme, held on the 7th of September 2024, was graced by Shri Hukheto Yepthomi, Chairman, Dimapur Municipal Council as the Special Guest, and saw a host of dignitaries including NPCB officials led by its Senior Scientist, Shri Yanathung Kithan, Smti. Imlijungla Lemtur (NCS), Extra Assistant Commissioner, Dimapur, Dr. Andrew Ahoto Sema, Chairman, Livingstone Foundation Society and Mrs. Ani Yepthomi, President, Breeze Women Welfare Association (BWWA).

As part of the programme a 10 points Clean Air Pledge was also undertaken by the gathering which included teachers and students of more than 20 schools from Dimapur and adjoining districts. The first day of the campaign programme concluded with the planting of tree saplings at the Green Lawn of Livingstone Foundation International. The programme was also marked by a series of Inter-School Competitions including Model Exhibition, Essay Writing, Poster Making and Slogan Writing competitions wherein participants of 20 schools enthusiastically took part.

The valedictory function of the two-day event was held on the 9th of September 2024 and was graced by Shri Thungchanbemo Tungoe (NCS), Chief Executive Officer, Dimapur Municipal Council as the Special Guest. The programme was also attended among others by Shri Zakabo Rotokha (NCS), Additional Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur. The programme concluded with the declaration of the results of the Inter-School Competitions followed by the Prize Distribution.
