AGRICULTURE SEMINAR BY NATIONAL CHAMBER OF AGRICULTURE
Students from Livingstone Foundation International, Dimapur, attended a briefing and consultation session on “Working in Japanese Agriculture” at Zone Niathu by The Park on 27th August 2024.
The event was organized by the National Chamber of Agriculture (Japan) in collaboration with ARMS. Students from Grade-XII Science and LFI College, accompanied by four faculty members, gained valuable insights into Japan’s agricultural sector. Oota Masami, First Secretary of Food and Agriculture (Japan), welcomed the students and briefed them on the session.
The event featured presentations from eight company heads, showcasing various aspects of Japanese agriculture, including farm operations and employment opportunities. After a short break, booths were set up for further deliberation and inquiries.
Overall, the session sensitized participants to Japan’s growing demand for agricultural workforce and the opportunities available.
