POORVOTAR NATYA SAMAROH 2019
The National School of Drama, New Delhi under the Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India in collaboration with the Department of Art & Culture, Govt. of Nagaland organized the 11th North East Theatre Festival or the 11th Poorvotar Natya Samaroh from 11th January to 19th January 2019.
The Natya Samaroh was the first of its kind to be organized in Nagaland and attracted the attention of theatre enthusiasts from all walks of life including the students. The boarders from Livingstone Foundation Hr. Sec. School had the rare privilege of witnessing almost all the Theatrical Works from all over the North East including one from Nagaland itself.
The array of theatrical performances included Autho Sanbad Britta Chunsilor an Assamese by Siva Prasad Nath which opened the festival on 11th January at 5:15 PM. The other performances included Theng Fakhri, another Assamese Play by Pari Sarania, Jina & Etiben, an Ao Naga play by Bendang Walling and group, Anupama, a Bengali Play by Natyabhumi Group Theatre from Tripura, Wakchingee Nonganlamdai, a Manipuri Play by Sangai Artistes Association, Rukmini Haran, Assamese Play by Abinaswar Gosthi, Vivah: Eti Bahir Sur, Assamese Play by Asom Natya Sanmilan, The Journey of Sorrow by Treasure Art Association, Manipur and Sanskar by Voice Theatre, Guwahati.
