The much anticipated event of the advent season, the Stonites Winter Carnival was held at the Green Lawn of Livingstone Foundation International amid much fanfare and excitement on the 12th of December 2023. Besides promoting the skill of entrepreneurship among the students, the colourful event was also organized to welcome the festive season with fun, excitement and enrichment and also to close the year on a high note of joy and festivity.
The event saw a gathering of more than 3000 people from all walks of life thronging the carnival, including students and teachers from various schools, parents, guardians, well-wishers and special invitees besides the Stonite students, mentors and staff. The carnival kick started at 11:00 AM with blessings and prayer by Deacon Fr. Deepak Tanti from the Believer’s Eastern Orthodox Church. The carnival was declared open to the public by the Chairman of LFI, Dr. Andrew Ahoto Sema and the Director of LFI, Mrs. Ani Yepthomi.
The carnival was marked by around 30 stalls which exhibited numerous and local, Indian and exotic food items, home decor items, leather bags and accessories, games & challenges, traditional jewelleries and handicraft, fine art, fresh flowers, stationeries and toys, cakes & beverages, nail art, etc. from local as well as national entrepreneurs including Lucknow Kebabs, Finete, Baskin Robbins, Runway India, Danhop, Ohan-Ki, Funville, Chase Foundation, The Fat Belly, Aloka’s Creation, Wandering Minds, Li’s Kitchen and Hetika Cheesecake Shop.
A mini concert arranged by the LFI students stole the show and made the carnival all the more extravagant and memorable with their numerous performances of cover songs of renowned artistes and bands. The evening was made all the more resonant and groovy with the rapturous music by the very popular DJ Ina and DJ Elvis who played popular Indian and International dance hits.
