Students from Livingstone Foundation International belonging to Grades-XI and XII attended an Education Fair organized by the North East Regional Multidisciplinary Paramedical Institute (NERMP) at the Christian Institute of Health Sciences & Research (CIHSR) Dimapur on the 11th of November 2023.
The program commenced with an introduction by Dr. Christy Simpson, Principal of CIHSR, and Dr. Paul Ravindran, Principal of NERMP. They provided an overview of the institutes and the diverse health courses offered. The focus was on career counselling related to health sciences, aiming to guide students in choosing their educational path after Grade-XII.
Following the introduction, interactive sessions were organized, allowing students to engage with staff from different departments. These sessions aimed at familiarizing students with equipments used in diagnosing and treating diseases. The hands-on experience provided valuable insights into the practical aspects of health sciences.
The fair offered recreational opportunities as well. Food stalls provided a variety of options, and numerous games and quizzes were organized. Some students participated and won prizes, making the event both informative and enjoyable. The education fair successfully addressed the career counselling needs of students Grades-XI and XII. The interactive sessions, informative presentations, and recreational activities contributed to a holistic understanding of health sciences. The event not only broadened the students’ knowledge on potential career paths but also made the learning experience an enjoyable one.
