WILDLIFE WEEK CELEBRATION 2023

It was an honour and great joy for the Stonites to be a part of the Wildlife Week Celebration which was organized at the Nagaland Zoological Park, Dimapur on the 4th of October 2023. A 10 member team comprising of students and mentors took part in the celebration which was held under the theme ‘Partnerships for Wildlife Conservation’.

The programme, which was held at the Conference Hall of Nagaland Zoological Park, was graced by Shri C.L. John, Hon’ble Minister of Environment, Forest & Climate Change as the Guest of Honour. Among others the occasion was also graced by Shri. Ved Pal Singh, IFS, Chief Wildlife Warden, Nagaland. The keynote address of the event was delivered by Dr. C. Zupeni Tsanglai, IFS, Director, NZP.

It is a matter of great pride for the Stonite Family that Miss Imlijungla of Grade-X shared her thoughts on the topic of Hoolock Gibbon, which is an endangered species of primate which is limited to few places in India including Nagaland. Her speech was well appreciated by the audience. The winners of the Painting Competition which was held on the 2nd of October 2023 on the same theme were also felicitated on the occasion. The winners also included Master Dhruman Das of Grade-X from Livingstone Foundation International.
