URBAN JUNGLE SURVIVAL SESSION 2023
A very interesting and informative session on basic self defence techniques and survival strategies was conducted by the Urban Jungle Private Security Agency at Livingstone Foundation International on the 4th of October 2023. The agency was represented by the Director, Retd. Maj. Vikuto Assumi who is a retired infantry officer of the Indian Army, Mr. Arkadeep Haldar, Retired Assistant Commandant, STF and Chief Instructor, UJPSA and Mr. Bendangliba Longkumer, MMA fighter and Krav Maga coach and former Pro Card Fighter. The team also comprised of five intern assistants from UJPSA.
The programme was conducted across two separate sessions, for students of Grades-IX and X followed by Grades-XI and XII. During the programme the resource persons demonstrated basic survival and defence techniques like defending against rape and abductions, surviving in an hostile environment including making fire out of chemicals, protecting oneself during intense gun fights and during emergencies and hardships, etc. Earlier, the team members were felicitated by Mrs. Rina Nath, Academic In-Charge, on behalf of LFI.
