TEACHERS’ DAY CUM LFI GOT TALENT 2023

In a unique exhibition of honor, color and vibrancy, Livingstone Foundation International celebrated the solemn occasion of Teachers’ Day along with the conduct of its multi-talent annual programme entitled ‘LFI Got Talent’ on the 5th of September 2023.

During the event led by Mr. Henjoy and Ms. Pratiksha, students of various grades show-cased their unique talents including dance, singing, speeches, instrumentals and many more much to the appreciation of the audience which included among others the Chairman of LFI, Dr. Andrew Ahoto Sema and Director LFI, Mrs. Ani Yepthomi, along with the heads, mentors and students from both the LFI School and  College.

The event was made even more emotional with the recognition and honoring of those mentors and staff who have completed 10 years, 15 years and 20 years of unflinching and dedicated service in the institution. All the school and college mentors were also felicitated with special teachers’ day gifts by the Chairman and Director.

The panel of judges for the LFI Got Talent included Mrs. Namrata Thakuri, Mr. Sanjeev Momin, Mr. Norbert Achung, Mr. Probir Sangma and Mr. Lichamo Murry.

This year the 1st Prize for the LFI Got Talent was clinched by Mr. Aman Dey of Grade-IXB for his exhilarating dance performance entitled ‘It’s Magic Mashup’ while the 2nd Prize was won by Ms. Sejal Chungmir of Grade-XII Com for her incredible dance number titled ‘Radha.’ Ms. Sisano R. Yhoshu of Grade-XB bagged the 3rd Prize for her keyboard rendition of ‘Attack on Titan Theme Song.’ The 1st Consolation Prize of the event went to Miss Karma Chozom of Grade-X while the 2nd Consolation Prize was shared by Master Sebastian Thatal of Grade-II and Miss Ruangriu Panmei of Grade-V.

Earlier the invocation prayer was pronounced by the Academic Dean, Mr. Pauly Varghese while the Welcome Speech was delivered by the Chairman, Dr. Andrew Ahoto Sema. Through his motivational anecdote of Japan and its rich culture, he emphasized on the immense role played by mentors in shaping the lives of children. The other highlights of the event included a heartwarming tribute to teachers titled ‘Ode to Teachers’ by Miss Imlijungla of Grade-X, an energizing Group Action Song titled ‘Thank You Teachers’ by the students of Prep-I, Prep-II and Grade-I.

The programme came to a solemn close with the Vote of Thanks proposed by the LFI Director, Mrs. Ani Yepthomi who expressed her unreserved thoughts on the value and essence of a mentor in bringing out the best in children by making complex things simpler for them. She also profusely thanked all the mentors, staff and students who were behind the success of the programme.
