LFI BOARDERS FATHER’S DAY CELEBRATION 2023

Along with the rest of the Christian community across the globe, the boarders of Livingstone Foundation International also celebrated the solemn occasion of Father’s Day on the 18th of June 2023 with a brief programme conducted by the Chapel Committee at the LFI Chapel Hall. Among others, the programme was graced by the Chairman of LFI, Dr. Andrew Ahoto Sema, Director of LFI, Mrs. Ani Yepthomi, Mr. Arthur Edwards and Mrs. Nisheli Edwards, the father and mother figures of LFI.

Delivering her message on the occasion, the Director of LFI, Mrs. Ani Yepthomi acknowledged her gratitude towards all the fathers of LFI, especially those who were present on the occasion, for their selfless contribution and yeoman service rendered for the prosperity of the Stonites Family. She also cited from the Book of Ephesians Chapter-6 and called upon the students to always revere and honor their fathers for their immense sacrifices and love towards their families. Mr. Arthur Edwards, also exhorted the gathering through his encouraging and inspiring words of wisdom.

A very touching aspect of this year’s Father’s Day Celebration was the sharing by some of the boarders about their relationship with their fathers which brought about an air of emotion among the congregation. The programme was led by the Chaplain, Ms. Zhimoholi S. Zhimomi while the Prayer & Worship was led by the Worship Leader, Mr. Gideon Sangma. The invocation prayer was pronounced by Miss Rhetsa Kadeikeimi of Grade-XII Sc while the scripture reading was undertaken by Miss Leesen Sangtam of Grade-XII Arts. A special number was also performed by Mr. Moluren Longkumer of Grade-XI Sc and Mr. Rongsen T. Longkumer of Grade-XII Com.

The fathers were earlier presented with special gifts on the occasion by Mrs. Ani Yepthomi. A special prayer for the fathers was also pronounced by Ms. Zhimoholi S. Zhimomi. The programme came to a close with the benediction by Ms. Chongam Sumnyan of Grade-XII Arts.
