WORLD WAR-II PEACE RALLY 2022

A team of 5 students and two mentors from Livingstone Foundation International took part in the annual mega event of the World War-II Peace Rally as part of the ongoing world famous Hornbill Festival on 2nd December 2022.

The Peace Rally is organized every year during the Hornbill Festival by the Nagaland Adventure and Motor Sports Association (NAMSA) to commemorate the WW-II Battle of Kohima and also to promote peace and oneness.

Livingstone Foundation International has been an integral part of this momentous rally since many years. This year, the LFI team comprised of Mr. Mhajamo Kithan of Grade-XII Sc, Mr. Sentilong Lemtur of Grade-XI Arts, Mr. Heboka V. Assumi of Grade-XI Sc, Mr. Ongba Angto of Grade-XI Sc, Mr. Izi Rudy of Grade-XII Sc,  Mr. Norbert Achung (Mentor) and Mr. Junaid Rahman (Mentor cum photographer).

The convoy of WW-II vintage military vehicles was flagged off from the Indira Gandhi Stadium Kohima and culminated at the Heritage Village, Kisama. Altogether 11 squads participated in the rally which was flagged off by Mr. Mmhonlumo Kikon, Advisor IT&C, Science & Technology, Govt. of Nagaland who was the Special Guest on the occasion. Livingstone Foundation International won the Most Original Vehicle Award for the World War-II era vintage class American Willys Jeep. This award happens to be the most prestigious award of the event and consists of a trophy and cash prize of Rupees One Lakh.
