STONITES VISIT TO OLD AGE HOME 2022
In solemn observance of the International Day of Older Persons on 1st October 2022, a team of NCC Cadets from Livingstone Foundation International led by the ANO of LFI, Mr. Shiva Baidya and Chaplain and School Counsellor of LFI, Ms. Zhimoholi S. Zhimomi visited the Tribal Old Age Home Cum Day Care Centre (TOAHDCC), Dimapur and partook in the celebration of their 8th Year Anniversary.
The programme which began 11 AM was organized at the Residential Corner of TOAHDCC, Thilixu Village, under the theme ‘The Resilience and Contributions of Older Persons’. The programme was led by Ms Zhimoholi as the Chairperson while the invocation was pronounced by Mr. Akum Amri, Director, Ebenezer Orphanage Home. The occasion was made all the more enchanting and memorable with the presence of the father and mother figures of Livingstone Foundation International, Mr. Arthur Edwards and Mrs. Nisheli Sema along with Director, LFI, Mrs. Ani Yepthomi as the special invitees. During the occasion, both Mr. Arthur Edwards as well as Mrs. Nisheli Sema were felicitated in a special way for their immense contributions, especially in the field of education.
An emotional and lingering experience during the occasion was a special number by the inmates of TOAHDCC. Director of TOAHDCC, Mr. Imlitongzuk Amri spoke in brief about the Old Age Home and also cut a specially made cake for the occasion. Felicitation of the elderly ones was done by Mrs. Sungjemyala Lkr., Co-ordinator, TOAHDCC. A special exhortation and prayer was also brought forth by the Chaplain and College Counsellor of LFI, Ms. Medozhanuo Tepa. The programme came to a blessed conclusion with vote of thanks proposed by Ms. Aien Tzüdir which was followed shortly by mass benediction, photo session and light refreshment.
