OBSERVANCE OF INTERNATIONAL DAY OF YOGA 2022
Along with the rest of the global community, Livingstone Foundation Society also observed the International Day of Yoga with a host of activities at Livingstone Foundation International involving students, mentors and parents.
In a run up to the main event, on 16th and 17th of June 2022, various literary activities including Fine Arts, Essay Writing, Poster Making and Speech Competitions were conducted for the students and mentors of Livingstone Foundation International which involved students from Grades-I to XII.
One of the main parts of the observance was a very informative and educative seminar on the importance and benefits of yoga which was conducted for parents, mentors and students at the LFI Auditorium on 20th June 2022. The seminar which was conducted across 2 sessions was led by Ms. Orentsani Kikon, Professional Certified Yoga Trainer, President of Nagaland Yogasana Sports Association & Brand Ambassador of Nagaland for NEB Sports & CYRUNS. During the course of the seminar, the resource person highlighted on the various health benefits of performing yoga on a regular basis including its positive impact on an individual’s body, mind and soul.
The observance of International Day of Yoga culminated on 21st June 2022 with the performance of mass yoga by the students and mentors of Livingstone Foundation International at the LFI school and hostel campus. The yoga exercise session began at 6:00 AM and was also led by Ms. Orentsani Kikon during which she imparted various yoga asanas or postures.
