CAMPING CUM TREKKING TRIP TO DZUKOU VALLEY 2022

In a rare moment of great pride and momentous achievement, a team from Livingstone Foundation International created history by performing Yoga at the Dzukou Valley for the first time ever.

The Yoga performance was a part of a three-day Trekking cum Camping Expedition to the world famous Dzukou Valley and was performed under the guidance and mentorship of renowned Yoga trainer from Nagaland, Ms. Orentsani Kikon, who is a certified professional yoga instructor. Ms. Orentsani is presently the President of Nagaland Yogasana Sports Association and is also the Brand Ambassador of Nagaland for NEB Sports and CYRUNS. She has also been the Nagaland State Coach for Yoga by YOG Sports Association, supported by AYUSH Ministry, Government of India.

The three-day trekking cum camping was kicked off from the school campus on 1st April 2022 by the Chairman, LFI, Dr. Andrew Ahoto Sema. The team of both students, including NCC Cadets, as well as mentors was led by the Director of Livingstone Foundation International, Mrs. Ani Yepthomi. The expedition which concluded on 4th April 2022 was marked by remarkable experiences by the team members wherein they witnessed the incredible and serene beauty of the mesmerising valleys and hills, the varied flora and fauna of the region while also experiencing the extreme weather conditions of the valley exposing themselves to rain, sunshine and stormy weathers.
