LFI OBSERVES INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY 2022

Along with the rest of the world, Livingstone Foundation International also observed the International Women’s Day at its school campus on 8th March 2022. The programme was organized by the students of Grade-XII from 9:30 AM onwards and was graced by Mrs. Seema Bhowal, Mrs. India National 2021 and parent of one of the Stonites, Ayushi Bhowal, as the Special Guest.

Speaking during the occasion, the Special Guest highlighted in brief about the stereotypical mindset of the Indian Society which gives more regard and preference to a male child and how such a biased mindset should be change as it is the women who create a harmonious society and therefore they must be loved, accepted and revered. Mrs. Bhowal was also felicitated during the occasion by the Director of LFI, Mrs. Ani Yepthomi.

Addressing the gathering, Mrs. Ani Yepthomi called upon the women to be who they are and to be strong, independent, soft and industrious. Later, all the female staff including the mentors and the office staff were felicitated with gift hampers by the outgoing students of Grade-XII. The Academic Principal, Mr. Prabhat Mandal also said a special prayer for the women on the solemn occasion.

Special items were also performed by the students to mark the occasion. The significance of the day was delivered by Miss Mutsulu of Grade-XII B Arts. A befitting closing of the function was the cake-cutting which was done by the Special Guest and later distributed among the mentors. After the programme, a group photo session was also conducted.
