YMCA TEAM OF LFI CONDUCTS CHARITY DRIVE
The YMCA Team of Livingstone Foundation International comprising of 17 students and 3 mentors conducted a charity drive by visiting the Ebenezer Orphanage Home on 15th November 2021. In a wonderful gesture of reaching out to the needy children, the team donated toys, clothes, pencils and books to the Orphanage.
The team chipped in their funds from generous donations which included monetary donations from the YMCA team, from the Quiz Team which has won the Quiz Competition at Kohima, from Ms. Tsuzolu Rhakho who had recently won the 1st prize in the Painting Competition organized by the FNR and from Ms. Viviane Zho and Ms. Inali Chishi. With the total contribution the team bought the items for donation.
During the visit to the orphanage, the team conducted a brief programme which was led by Ms. Cynthia. The programme began with an invocation prayer by Ms. Viqeli Swu while the Word of God was shared by Ms. Hadeno Kikon. Ms. Vivane Zho also encouraged the children by sharing her life’s testimony and experiences. A choreography item was also presented by Ms. Osangla and friends which was followed by exciting games in which both the YMCA team as well as the children of the orphanage took part. Later the winners were rewarded with gifts. The programme concluded with Mr. Gideon Sangma leading the gathering to a Praise and Worship which was followed by a short prayer by Ms. Mharoni Ezung. To sum it all, individual gifts were given away to the children and eatables and toys were also gifted to the proprietor of the orphanage.
Overall it was a wonderful gesture from the YMCA Team of LFI in extending a helping hand towards the orphanage where everyone partook in the joy, blessing and contentment of charity towards the deprived.
