LFI GRADUATION DAY 2025
The Graduation Day 2025 of Livingstone Foundation International, held on 7th February 2025 at the LFI Basketball Court at 4:00 PM, was a day filled with deep emotion, pride, and a sense of bittersweet farewell. The atmosphere was both joyful and reflective, as the graduating students, along with their families, faculty, and friends, gathered to celebrate the end of one chapter and the beginning of another.
The venue, bathed in the glow of twinkling lights, exuded a cozy, warm ambiance, perfectly suited to the winter setting and the heartfelt tone of the ceremony.
The program was gracefully led by Ms. Imlijungla, Ms. Bhumikali, and Mr. Lohrii Pfoyi, all from Grade 11, whose presence and energy guided the evening.
The ceremony began with the School Anthem, led by Mr. Gideon Sangma, filling the air with a sense of unity and pride. The Lighting of Candles by Dr. Andrew AhotoSema, Chairman, and Mrs. Ani Yepthomi, Director, LFI, symbolized not only the graduates’ accomplishments but also the bright future that awaits them. A heartfelt Invocation and Special Prayer by Rev. Fr. Dr. Joe Mariadhas followed, asking for blessings on the graduates as they step into the world.
In his Welcome Address, Dr. Andrew AhotoSema spoke of the journey ahead for the graduates, reminding them of the endless possibilities and the responsibilities that come with them. His words were both encouraging and full of hope, a fitting message for a moment of transition.
One of the evening’s most emotional moments came with the Oh Hi Yo folk fusion song, performed by Grade XI students. Their soulful rendition, full of grace and beauty, sent a wave of emotion through the crowd, touching hearts with its message of love, peace, and the Creator’s grace.
Ms. KewimesinNriame, an alumna of LFI and a successful EAC, delivered an inspiring Exhortation. She shared her personal journey, filled with sacrifices and hard work, and reminded the graduates of the importance of focus and discipline in achieving their goals. She spoke candidly about her decision to uninstalled social media during her preparation for the NPSC exams, acknowledging how it helped her to stay focused and eliminate distractions. Her story of overcoming obstacles resonated deeply with everyone in the room, as she reminded the graduates that success comes through dedication, perseverance, and sometimes, difficult choices.
The speeches by the Head Boy, Mr. Kewigiakhai M. Pom, and Head Girl, Ms. Dorcas ChingriJamang, were equally poignant. Kewigiakhai, who had been a part of LFI since Prep, reflected on the school’s growth and transformation, from its humble beginnings to its current international stature. He spoke with gratitude about the mentors and friends who guided him, shaping him into the person he is today. Dorcas, too, thanked the mentors and friends who supported her through the years, helping her grow and guiding her toward success. Both their speeches resonated deeply with the graduates, capturing the essence of their shared journey and the lasting impact of their time at LFI.
The Certification Ceremony followed, a moment filled with pride and accomplishment. Each graduate received their certificate, the culmination of years of hard work, dedication, and growth. The Pledge of Honour, administered by Mr. Pauly Varghese, Academic Dean, LFI, reaffirmed their commitment to upholding the values of integrity and excellence as they step into the future.
The ceremony concluded with a beautiful performance of A Million Dreams, symbolizing the graduates’ hopes and dreams for the future. The music echoed through the night, capturing the bittersweet feeling of both leaving behind cherished memories and stepping into the unknown with optimism. As the evening drew to a close, a dinner was served, providing a chance for everyone to come together, reminisce, and share in the joy of the graduates’ achievements. Afterward, students and families gathered to take pictures, capturing the precious memories of the day—memories that would stay with them forever as the graduates embark on the next chapter of their lives.
