STONITES ADVENT CHRISTMAS CUM THANKSGIVING PROGRAMME 2024
A rare enchantment of bliss, joy and gratitude filled the air as the Stonite Boarders celebrated the Advent Christmas and Thanksgiving Programme before they left for their homes for the winter break. The students were joined by the management, mentors and staff in the eventful and exciting celebration.
The programme which was held at the LFI Basketball Court in the evening of 19th December 2024 was led into celebration by the Chairman of LFI, Dr. Andrew Ahoto Sema and his lady wife and Director of LFI, Mrs. Ani Yepthomi. Incidentally, the day also coincided with their 23rd marriage anniversary which added another charm to the glittering event. The programme, compered by the dynamic duo of Mr. Asakho Chase and Mr. Gideon Sangma, began with the lighting of the bon fire by the Chairman and Director, which was a sight to behold as the flame was lit using a very ingenious and creative technique. Dubbed as ‘the flame from heaven’, it was released remotely through a well choreographed and intrinsic reel delivery system. This was followed by the LFI tradition of cake cutting and toasting for the well being and blessing of the Stonite Family. The programme went on till the late evening with an array of entertaining, soul gripping and inspirational items which also included a heart warming Christmas message by the Academic Dean, Mr. Pauly Varghese and several Christmas medleys, melodious numbers and rhythmic dance performances that kept the jive going till the very end. The memorable programme concluded on a very rib-tickling and energetic note with a very sumptuous and delectable thanks giving dinner.
