POCSO & SEX EDUCATION AWARENESS PROGRAMME 2024

An awareness programme on Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO)Act was organized by Livingstone Foundation International in collaboration with the Mental Health and Wellness Club of LFI for the students of Grades-III to VIII on the 21st of November 2024. The programme which spanned across two separate sessions was conducted at the LFI Auditorium and was led by Miss Vinika N. Chishi of Grade-XI Arts as the program lead. The Guest Speaker on the occasion was Ms. Loza Kappe.

During the first interactive session which was conducted for the students of Grades-III to V, the guest speaker dwelt on the various aspects of ‘good and bad touch’ and ‘private parts’. A story video on sexual abuse was also screened during the session, highlighting the help available at the Child Helpline.

The next and the last session which was conducted for students of Grade-VI to VIII, where the speaker talked about body changes during adolescence, followed by a discussion on identifying private body parts. She also stressed upon good and bad touch while also bringing awareness about the POCSO Act established in 2012 for the protection of children from any form of sexual abuse, assault or harassment.
