CHILDREN’S DAY CELEBRATION 2024

This year’s celebration of Children’s Day at Livingstone Foundation International turned out to be a grand, exhilarating, fun and memorable display of resplendence. The event was made all the more solemn with the presence of Ms. Loreni Sophia, alumna of LFI and Advisor, Community Health Initiative and Founder of Menstrual Initiative, Nagaland who graced the celebration as the Special Guest. The event was also attended by the Chairman of LFI, Dr. Andrew Ahoto Sema, Director LFI, Mrs. Ani Yepthomi and the father figure of LFI, Mr. Arthur Edwards apart from the Postal Department officials which included Ms. Esther, Inspector of Posts and Ms. Sharon, Marketing Executive.

The most memorable part of the celebration was the honouring of 15 students of various grades with Certificates of Appreciation & Commendation for their outstanding contribution in different fields of activity during the academic session of 2024-25. A special part of the event was the felicitation of Ms. Ruangriu Panmei of Grade-VI by Ms. Esther, Inspector of Posts, with cash award and certificate for winning the 2nd Prize in the National Dhai Akshar Letter Writing Competition thereby bringing an exceptional laurel not only for the state of Nagaland but also for the entire North Eastern Region. A host of other awards and certificates were also handed out to students excelling in NCC, Taekwondo and other disciplines during the event.

The celebratory event was made all the more vibrant and electrifying by a couple of colorful items presented by the mentors and office staff, much to the delight of the students. It included a Special Song by the LFI Mentors Band, an Expressive Solo Dance by Ms. Neesha Giri, Dandiya Dance item by the LFI Mentors and a Special Performance by the Office Staff which kept the audience on their feet throughout the programme.
