STEM SEMINAR & INTERACTIVE PROGRAMME 2024
A seminar cum interaction programme titled ‘Empowering Minds, Shaping Futures: The STEM Way’ was hosted at Livingstone Foundation International on the 13th of November, 2024. The event, which was conducted at the LFI Auditorium from 2:00 PM onwards, mainly aimed at promoting STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education, underscoring its importance in equipping students with the skills needed for a technology-driven future. Students and teachers from several CBSE schools from Dimapur and adjoining areas participated in the programme.
The main resource person on the occasion was Prof. Shalabh, Dean of Academic Affairs at the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur. Joining him in the programme were Mr. Ajay Sethi, Managing Director and and Er. Rishabh Sethi, CEO of Nationalist Institute of Technology & Innovation (NITI). NITI played an elemental role in conducting and sponsoring the programme.
During his discourse, Prof. Shalabh shared valuable insights on the pivotal role of STEM education in shaping future innovators and problem-solvers. The session also included an interactive segment, allowing students and educators to engage directly with Prof. Shalabh and gain practical perspectives on how STEM can be a transformative force in education. Apart from the above, Prof. Shalabh also shared details about IITs in India with particular emphasis on IIT Kanpur as an elite institute providing state-of-the-art educational facilities for students aiming for higher education in diverse career prospects.
