TOKHU EMONG BIRD COUNT EVENT 2024
Students from Livingstone Foundation International attended the Tokhu Emong Bird Count event 2024 held at the Nature Learning Centre, Forest Office Complex in Dimapur on the 7th of November 2024. Organized by Eco Warriors Nagaland in collaboration with Bird Count India and the Photography Club Dimapur (PCD), the event focused on fostering awareness of biodiversity and conservation efforts in Nagaland.
The students actively participated in various interactive sessions, including the eQuiz, puzzles, and bird-watching activities, highlighting the importance of youth engagement in ecological preservation.
The event featured insightful video screenings and speeches by prominent conservationists, including Ms. Mittal Gala, Project Coordinator at Bird Count India, and Dr. Dolly Kikon, Professor of Anthropology at the University of California, Santa Cruz. Their contributions emphasized the need for community involvement in protecting local wildlife and ecosystems. The Photography Club of Dimapur presented a visually engaging video on local biodiversity, which resonated strongly with attendees.
The TEBC 2024 event successfully brought together environmental advocates, students, and organizers, creating a collaborative platform for learning and promoting conservation in the region. The gathering concluded with expressions of gratitude to all participants and organizers, who were essential to the success and impact of the event.
