IIMUN CHAMPIONSHIP CONFERENCE, AAMBY VALLEY 2024
A team of 11 student delegates along with one mentor from Livingstone Foundation International participated in the Championship Conference organized by the International Movement to Unite Nations (IIMUN) at Aamby Valley, Pune, Maharashtra from 15th to 18th of August 2024. IIMUN is the world’s largest youth-run organization, which aims to bring the world closer, the Indian way.
This year’s conference not only hosted students from across the globe but also marked the largest educational extravaganza of its kind. The event provided students with an opportunity to engage in discussions simulating the United Nations, enhancing their understanding of global diplomacy and international relations.
The four-day conference included various segments designed to engage participants in global issues, diplomatic discussions, and cultural exchanges through several committee sessions which were simulated in the lines of the UN Assembly. During the opening and closing ceremonies, the conference showcased performances by renowned celebrities adding vibrancy to the event. Notable figures included actors like Ravi Dubey, Shruti Seth, Sahil Salarthia, and Boman Irani. Comedians Cyrus Broacha and Azeem Banatwalla also made their appearance and amused the audience. Musical extravaganzas from prominent music director and composer, Amaal Malik, music composer, Nikhil Pahalikar and renowned singer, Shaan, added an altogether electric vibe to the conference. The event was also marked by dance performances by MJ5, B Unique Crew and Illuminati, celebrated for their exceptional performances. Apart from the Committee Sessions the conference was marked by various other sessions including MUNClave Speaker Series, Social Events and Educator Sessions. The IIMUN Championship Conference was a valuable experience for the students, offering insights into global issues and improving their skills in diplomacy and public speaking. The event significantly contributed to their educational and personal growth, providing a deeper understanding of international relations and global diplomacy. It stood out as a remarkable event, characterized by its international reach and diverse participation.
