This session was designed to introduce and inform our students from Grades-VIII to XII, their mentors, and parents about the vast opportunities and benefits of the IAYP program. Held in the school auditorium, on the 6th of July 2024 from 11:30 AM onwards, the event aimed to set the stage for the students to engage in a transformative journey of personal and community development through IAYP.

The event opened with an invocation prayer led by the school chaplain, Miss Zhimoholi S. Zhimomi, setting a reflective tone for the proceedings. Following this, the Academic Dean, Mr. Pauly Varghese, delivered a warm and encouraging welcome address, underscoring the importance of the IAYP program in enriching students’ educational journey and preparing them for future challenges.

During the main session by Mr. Bivujit Mukhoty, the Program Manager at IAYP, he provided a detailed overview of the IAYP program, emphasizing its global prestige and the invaluable opportunities it offers for both personal and community development. He explained the program’s structure, which is segmented into three progressive levels: Bronze, Silver, and Gold. Each level comprises four essential sections: Voluntary Service, Skills, Physical Recreation, and an Adventurous Journey. For the Gold level, participants also undertake a Residential Project, which encourages teamwork and social skills. These components are designed to cultivate community involvement, personal growth, physical well-being, and a spirit of adventure.

Mr. Bivujit underscored the many benefits of participating in the IAYP. He also showcased the prestigious Bronze, Silver, and Gold medals awarded upon the completion of each level, emphasizing their role as symbols of significant personal achievement.

The session concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks proposed by Mentor Miss Alivi Yepthomi, who expressed deep gratitude to everyone for the success of the program. This IAYP awareness session proved to be both informative and inspiring, laying a solid foundation for the students to embark on a transformative journey of growth and self-discovery through the IAYP program.
