LFI GRADUATION CEREMONY 2024

Livingstone Foundation International organized its annual event of Graduation Ceremony for the Grade-XII batch of 2023-24. The batch of 110 students will be appearing their CBSE Board Finals soon. The programme which was held in a very solemn and formal ambience at the LFI Green Lawn was attended by parents, guardians, alumni members, well wishers, invitees, students, mentors and staff members. The programme kicked started at 4:00 PM with a special prayer by Rev. Fr. Joe Mariadhas, Director of Shalom Rehabilitation Centre and the lighting of the candles by the founders and administrators of LFI, Mr. Arthur Edwards and Mrs. Nisheli Edwards.

Speaking on the occasion during his exhortation, the Chairman of LFI, Dr. Andrew Ahoto Sema termed the graduating students of Grade-XII as the luckiest ones as they were blessed beyond all measures as compared to the students of bygone days. He encouraged the graduating batch to carry forward the legacy and motto of the school ‘Learn to Serve’ and to espouse the habit of giving back to the society and not to be selfish or self-centred but to be benevolent and kind towards everyone, especially those who are under-privileged. While citing from the three unusual death wishes made by Alexander the Great, he called upon the students to be epitomes of humility and not to get carried away by the superficialities of this material world.

Earlier, welcoming the gathering, the Director of LFI, Mrs. Ani Yepthomi underscored the strong belief and vision of LFI that education is the keystone to channeling today’s curious impulsive and seeking young minds, transforming them into sensible, sensitive and intelligent people who knows their worth and impact they can make in the world. Terming the graduating students as the heartbeats of the LFI family, she challenged them to pour out their hearts, souls and passion into whatever they set out to do and in the uphill journey ahead. She also called upon them to be trendsetters in their own simple and small ways and also motivate and encourage one another so that everyone can do exceptionally great things to make this world a better place.

The programme was made all the more poignant and everyone turned teary-eyed with the emotional discourses by the Head Boy, Mr. Henjoy Ham and the Head Girl, Ms. Anna Zimo who were speaking on behalf of the graduates. The programme also featured an Alumnus of LFI, Dr. Rhondemo Kikon who spoke to the gathering through a pre-recorded video which was played on screen. He is a medical doctor by profession and currently engaged as a public health professional. He founded the Community Health Initiative (CHI), an NGO based in Nagaland, India.
