TWO-DAY CBSE MENTORS TRAINING ON CRITICAL & CREATIVE THINKING SKILLS

A two-day training session was conducted for the mentors of CBSE Schools of Dimapur and adjoining areas at the LFI Auditorium on the 19th & 20th of December 2023. The training was conducted by the Centre of Excellence (COE), CBSE Regional Office, Guwahati as part of the CBSE Capacity Building Programme (CBP) and was led by Mr. Umesh Chandra Harbola, Principal of DPS, Numaligarh and Mrs. Anupa Harbola, PGT from DPS, Numaligarh as the Resource Persons. The resource persons were felicitated at the beginning of the training by the Chairman of LFI and Venue Director, Dr. Andrew Ahoto Sema and the Director, LFI, Mrs. Ani Yepthomi.

The two-day mentor’s training was conducted across several sessions wherein the Resource Persons engaged the participants into various aspects of critical and creative thinking skills including Pathways to Critical Thinking, Building Blocks of Logical Reasoning, Fun with Flaws and Fallacies, Creative Building Blocks of Problem-Solving, Fostering Critical Literacy, Applying Critical Thinking, The Creative Learner, Lateral Thinking, Approaches to Foster Creative Thinking, Design Thinking and Assessing Creativity. The training programme was made all the more interesting through multiple exciting activities and hand outs for the mentors.

All the mentors of Livingstone Foundation International along with the mentors from other CBSE Schools including St. Mary’s Hr. Sec. School, Latika, Dimapur and Shalom Public School, Chumoukedima attended the two-day training programme.
