NCC JIMNY CAR RALLY 2023

NCC Cadets from Livingstone Foundation International were part of the first of its kind Car Rally which was organized across two phases by National Cadet Corps (NCC) in collaboration with Maruti Suzuki Corporation. The car rally entitled NCC Jimny Car Rally was flagged off during its first phase from Shillong on 6th November 2023 and since then two cadets from LFI, Cadet Kriti Dubey and Cadet Yuvika Choudhary had been undertaking the tour of most of the north eastern states in the newly launched Jimny Cars from Maruti Suzuki. A team of NCC Officers along with 76 NCC Cadets from various units of 6 states travelling in a total of 12 vehicles were part of the car rally.

The 2nd Phase and the Nagaland Leg of the Car Rally was flagged off from the Rangapahar Military Station, Dimapur on 12th November 2023 by General Officer Commanding 3 Corps, Lt. Gen. HS Sahi. A brief pit stop before the flagging off was conducted at Eastern Christian College, Dimapur on the same day where cadets from several schools and colleges of Dimapur and nearby districts, including 75 Cadets along with 3 ANOs from LFI also participated. During the brief programme, the ADG, NCC Directorate NER, Maj. Gen. Gagan Deep interacted with the cadets and ANOs. He also inaugurated the state-of-the-art Flying Simulator Aircraft of 1 Nagaland Air squadron NCC which has been installed at the Eastern Christian College.

The Car Rally which was flagged off on 6th November 2023 concluded on the 26th of November 2023 at Narangi Army Cantonment, Assam after covering a total of 3,400 Kilometers across the Northeast and marking the celebration of the NCC Day. The team traversed across 44 districts of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Tripura, Mizoram, Nagaland and Meghalaya during the course of the car rally.
