ANPSA SPORTS MEET 2023
Students from Livingstone Foundation International shone at the 2-day ANPSA Dimapur Sports Tournament Meet which was held at Don Bosco Hr. Sec. School Sports Complex on 10th & 11th November 2023.
It is a matter of great pride and honour for the Stonites Team that Ms. Sunepjungla Longkumer of Grade-XII Science and Mr. Tonoto R. Zhimomi of Grade-XI Arts were declared the Best Athlete Boys and Girls respectively. The Stonites March Past contingent displayed great acumen, discipline and coordination in drill demonstration winning the 1st prize and keeping Lorna’s Hr. Sec. School and St. Mary’s Hr. Sec. School, Padumpukhri behind in the resplendent competition which was a part of the opening ceremony of the Sports Meet. LFI was adjudged as the Overall First Runner Up Team with a total medal tally points 165.
The Inaugural Programme on the 10th of November 2023 was graced by Shri Kevithuto Sophie, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Dimapur, as the Chief Guest. During the programme, the welcome address was delivered by Dr. Andrew Ahoto Sema, President, ANPSA Dimapur while the oath taking was administered by the Convenor, Dr. R. Francis.
The other events in which the students of LFI brought laurels included 1st Prize for 200 Mtrs. Running Race for Senior Girls which was won by Ms. Sunepjungla Longkumer of Grade-XII Science while Mr. Tonoto R. Zhimomi of Grade-XI Arts won the 1st Prize in the senior boys category of the same event. In the Junior Boys category of 200 Mtrs. Race, Mr. Thungchethung Murry of Grade-X won the 1st Prize. Ms. Sunepjungla Longkumer made a mark yet again by winning the 1st position in the Senior Girls 100 Mtrs. Race. while Mr. Tonoto R. Zhimomi of Grade-XI Arts came a decent 2nd in the senior boys category of the same event. Mr. Thungchethung Murry of Grade-X again won the 1st place in the junior boys 100 Mtrs. Race. In the 4×100 mtrs relay race, the Senior Boys won the 1st prize while the Senior Girls team had to be satisfied with the 3rd position only. In the junior girls category of the relay race, the LFI team won the 2nd position.
The closing ceremony began with the gathering of all the participating schools after which a word of encouragement was shared by the Treasurer of ANPSA, Dimapur, Mrs. Neena Dutta which was followed shortly by the Prize Distribution. The vote of thanks was proposed by Mr. Reji Abraham, General Secretary, ANPSA, Dimapur. The other highlights included the Flag Down and submission of the ANPSA Flag to Dr. Andrew Ahoto Sema, President, ANPSA Dimapur by the Convenor of the Sports Meet, Dr. R. Francis, which was followed by the declaration of the ANPSA Sports Tournament Meet closed by the President.
