MAGNUM OPUS 2023
The eighth edition of the annual Art and Music Festival ‘Magnum Opus’ was organized by Act of Kindness at Green Park, Chumoukedima on the 25th of October 2023. This year’s edition of Magnum Opus witnessed numerous institutions, organizations and individuals vying for awards in Art competition, Photography Competition, Original Song Competition and Start up Pitch competition.
Representing Livingstone Foundation International, Mr. Unoto Kiba from Grade-XI Science, Ms. Ayushi Bhowal of Grade-X and Ms. Temjensola Walling of Grade-IX participated in the Art Competition while Mr. Timosen Pongener and Mr. Tanuj Sharma of Grade-XII Arts participated in the Photography Competition wherein Mr. Tanuj Sharma secured the 3rd position.
A team of four students viz. Mr. Visali Sangtam of Grade-XII Science, Mr. Medotso Peseyie of Grade-XI Commerce, Mr. Kewigiakhai Mpom and Ms. Ayala Jamir of Grade-XI Science participated in the Start-up Pitch Competition by showcasing their project entitled ‘Guardians System ’23’ and secured the 2nd position.
This festival is organized each year to commemorate the International Artist Day which falls on 25th October 2023. The main aim of the festival is to encourage young people in art and music and to bring together artistes and learn from each other. The event is also organized to encourage all the local artistes wherein demonstrations and workshops covering all types of art including fine arts, poetry, writing, photography, videography, singing, dancing and instrumentals are conducted.
