KHELO INDIA PRE-SUBROTO CUP TOURNAMENT 2023

The LFI Under-17 Boys Football Team reached the Finals of the 1st edition of Khelo India Pre-Subroto Cup Tournament organized by the Greenwood School Khelo India Centre. The team outperformed many strong teams before facing the indomitable team of Greenwood Hr. Sec. School in the finals on 24^th June 2023 and winning the First Runners Up Trophy.

Earlier, during the 1^st knockout match on 19^th June 2023 the LFI team outperformed the Hope Academy Team with an incredible score of 8 against 0. In their next big match against Bethesda Higher Secondary School, Dimapur on 21^st June 2023, the LFI team beat them through a penalty shootout of 5 against 4. With this, LFI entered the Semi-Finals of the tournament and played against SFS School, Medziphema on the 23^rd of June 2023 and beat them with a well-deserved score of 3 against 1.

Mr. Kivipu A Zhimomi of LFI made everyone proud by clinching the Player of the Tournament title cum Joint Top Scorer with a total of 7 goals.
