LFI CHAPEL DEPARTMENT BIBLE QUIZ 2023
The Chapel Department of Livingstone Foundation International conducted a Bible Quiz Competition for the boarders on the 28th of May 2023 during the Morning Chapel Service.
The Bible Quiz Competition, which was conducted on the Book of John, was mainly done in order to encourage as many students as possible to help them invest time in studying the Word of God and also to provide them a unique opportunity to grow in the knowledge of God and to partake in a friendly competition, spurring one another on as they mature in Christ.
The special Sunday Devotional Service was led by Miss Sushikala Jamir of Grade-XII Sc while the Invocation was pronounced by Miss Chongam Sumnyan of Grade-XII Arts. The Scripture Reading was done by Miss Moyiang Phom of Grade-XI Sc. The Praise & Worship session was led by Mr. Gideon Sangma, Worship Leader. The offertory prayer was pronounced by Mr. Heboka of Grade- XII Sc.
The service was led by Mr. K. Chingmei Phom, Christian Education Secretary, Phom Baptist Attoi, Dimapur as the main speaker. During his sermon, he preached about the good news of ‘Salvation’. He encouraged the congregation to accept Jesus Christ as their personal saviour. He further stressed that Jesus paid the price for our salvation and that God loves every individual despite one’s shortcomings. He also encouraged the students to repent and follow Jesus. He concluded his sermon with a special prayer.
The Quiz competition commenced soon after the sermon. The 1st prize was bagged by Mr. Risu Rudy of Grade-XI Arts, 2nd Prize was bagged by Mr. Kevi Mere of Grade-XII Com while the 3rd Prize was bagged by Master Samuel Thangmuangsang Vaiphie of Grade VII. Consolation prizes were won by Mr. Saomongba Chang of Grade-XI Arts, Mr. Tovika Ayemi of Grade-XII Com and Mr. Thejasevor Belho of Grade-XI Arts.
The service concluded with the closing hymn followed by benediction by Ms. Zhimoholi S. Zhimomi, Chaplain, LFI.
