OBSERVANCE OF ANTI-BULLYING DAY 2023

A special skit performed by the students of Grades-X and XI marked this year’s observance of Anti-Bullying Day on the 22nd of May 2023 at the LFI School Campus. The brief programme was conducted during the School Morning Assembly and attended by all students and mentors. Anti-Bullying Day is observed world-wide annually every May. It is a day when the world pledges to end bullying in schools.

The skit was performed in order to spread awareness and a message on the impact of bullying on students. The underlying message of the skit was that bullying is not an act to be applauded for and that acceptance and kindness is worth more than negligence, ignorance and judgement-bound stereotypes. Through the skit, the students urged the gathering to help eradicate this serious issue and create a safe space for everyone whereby strong people always stand up for themselves but the strongest people stand up for others.

The other highlights of the programme included a short speech on Anti-Bullying by Miss Moiang Mukho of Grade-XI Science and an encouraging discourse by Mr. Pauly Varghese, Academic Dean during which he called upon the students to unite in the school’s endeavour to stop and check bullying of all kinds. He also requested the students not to be mute spectators to bullying but report all sorts of bullying to the school authorities.
