MEETING OF CBSE SCHOOLS WITH RO, GUWAHATI AT LFI
A one-day meeting of the Principals, Vice Principals, Directors and Administrators of CBSE affiliated schools of Dimapur, Chumoukedima and Niuland with the Regional Officer of CBSE, Guwahati Region, Shri Thongkholet Mate, was held at Livingstone Foundation International on 21st January 2023. The meeting was attended by all the CBSE affiliated schools of the 3 districts.
Welcoming the gathering, Dr. Andrew Ahoto Sema, Chairman of Livingstone Foundation International expressed great pleasure in being able to host the meeting of the Heads of CBSE affiliated schools and to witness the convergence of all the heads. He thanked the various heads of schools for positively attending the meeting despite the short notice. He also expressed his gratefulness to the Regional Officer for coming all the way from Guwahati in order to meet the heads of the CBSE institutions and to have a purposeful interaction with them. He also exuded optimism that all the CBSE schools in Nagaland remain united as one family and to involve more in mutual interactions for a cumulative growth and progress of CBSE schools. He also hoped that in the future even the meritorious students from CBSE schools like their NBSE counterparts would be honoured by the Governor and the State Government for which a united and collaborative effort must be made by all the 46 CBSE schools of Nagaland.
During his interaction with the heads of schools, the Regional Officer, Shri Thonkholet Mate discussed about the upcoming CBSE Boards examinations to be conducted from 15th of February 2023 onwards and requested the schools to cooperate with the Regional Office of CBSE in order to make the Board Examination successful in all perspective. He also briefed the gathering about the various initiatives undertaken by him as the North East Nodal Officer for Pariksha Pe Charcha (PPC) programme of the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India and called upon the schools to make this programme a huge success across the state along with the rest of India. During the meeting, the Regional Officer also answered many queries brought forth by the heads of schools on matters concerning examinations, centres, deputation of examiners and observers, etc. He also echoed the thoughts expressed earlier by Dr. Andrew Ahoto Sema regarding the cooperation and mutual bond amongst the CBSE schools of Nagaland whereby despite academic competitions they should unite their efforts as a family in order to make the CBSE Guwahati Region as one of the best regions in India despite all the odds.
