INTERNATIONAL KITE DAY 2023

The annual event of the International Kite Day was observed at Livingstone Foundation International on 13th January 2023. The actual day however falls on 14th January across the globe. But since 14th January was a school holiday, the day being a second Saturday, the event was observed on the 13th of January itself.

Students and mentors from Grades-I to IV participated in the event. The students were utterly happy and enthusiastic about the idea of making their own eco-friendly kites out of old newspapers and broom sticks, etc. They engaged themselves in the activity by preparing their very own kites at home and while at school they were taught and trained to fly kites by the mentors in the LFI Green Lawn. They also showed their creativity and artistic talent by adding colours and glitters to make the kites more vibrant. The whole exercise was a joyous experience for the students as well as the mentors. This day is celebrated to commemorate the transition from winter to summer, as well as the forthcoming winter crop harvest.
