5TH GOODWILL OPEN NATIONAL TAEKWONDO CHAMPIONSHIP 2022
Students of Livingstone Foundation International College and School made it big at the 5th Goodwill Open National Taekwondo Championship 2023 which was held at Nazira, Assam from 28th to 30th December 2022. The LFI team were part of a strong contingent from Faith in Action Taekwondo Academy Nagaland which bagged a total of 41 medals in Kyorugi, individual Poomsae, Pair Poomsae and Group Poomsae Taekwondo events. The team from Nagaland was led by Mr. Deep Kumar, Founder Coach of Faith in Action Taekwondo Academy.
The LFI team comprised of 4 participants wherein, Mr. Kevin Chishi of LFI College won 1 gold and 1 silver medal, Mr. John Chishi of Grade-XI Arts won 2 gold medals, Mr. Imnatoshi Longkumer from Grade-XI Arts won 1 each of gold and silver medals and the youngest participant of all, Master Sebastian Thatal of Grade-I won 2 bronze medals. The Taekwondo coach from LFI, Mr. Tiayanger Imsong also bagged 2 gold medals during the championship.
More than 300 participants from various states of India took part in the 3 day championship. Apart from Livingstone Foundation International the other schools which took part in the championship included Little Star Hr. Sec. School, Christian Hr. Sec. School, Little Angels School and Herbert Spencer School.
