2ND HORNBILL NAGA SILAT CHAMPIONSHIP 2022
The 2nd edition of the Hornbill Naga Silat Championship was hosted by Livingstone Foundation International at its School Complex on 10th of December 2022 with Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime), Dr. Pritpal Kaur as the Special Guest. More than 200 participants from schools and colleges from across the state participated in the day long championship. Livingstone Foundation International won the trophy for the Best Disciplined Institution.
Inaugurating the championship, Dr. Pritpal Kaur remarked that Nagas have fighting skills since their childhood and participating in the Silat Championship needs techniques. Terming the participants as champions, she congratulated the NPSA President for doing a wonderful job in bringing Silat in Nagaland and giving a good direction to the children. She also thanked Deep Kumar for bringing light into the lives of the children through this sport. Dr. Kaur also reminded the students not to neglect their education while focusing on sports.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by Ms. Diana as the compere, the invocation prayer was pronounced by Mr. Inakavi Aye, Pastor, Lhomithi Baptist Church while the welcome address was delivered by Mr. Kashito Kiba.
