1ST EDUCATIONAL SUMMIT CUM EXCELLENCE AWARD 2022
The mentors and students of Livingstone Foundation International were felicitated with Excellence Awards during the 1st Educational Summit cum Excellence Award which was organized by CT University, Punjab at Hotel Saramati on 4th December 2022. The event was graced by Shri Supu Jamir, Social Activist, Advocate and Politician as the Chief Guest.
The mentors from LFI who were awarded during the occasion included Mr. Loli Heni, Mr. Nabi Hassan and Ms. Mughashi S. Sema while the student awardees included Ms. Manshvi Rathore of Grade-XII Arts and Mr. Mhajamo Kithan of Grade-XII Science. The programme which began at around 11:30 AM was attended by mentors and students from more than 25 schools across Dimapur and adjoining districts.
The hour long programme was led by the Pro Chancellor of CT University, Dr. Manbir Singh who said that the objective of organizing this event was to bring Nagaland and Punjab together. Terming it as a Naga-Punjab education initiative, Dr Singh said that they have conducted such events in various parts of the Northeast. Along with the education summit and the award, the organizers also launched a free IAS programme for students of Nagaland where a full one-year virtual IAS programme can be availed by students from any part of Nagaland. He also said that this initiative is part of the university’s CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility).
The key takeaway of the summit were the teachers learning about the latest teaching pedagogies, where they were also briefed on the changes brought about by the National Education Policy (NEP). They were also imparted on the success rate of the hybrid mode of teaching and how they can transform the model education system. The main motive of the award was to recognize the teachers who are doing a commendable job and do not necessarily get the state or national award. Altogether 80 teachers were awarded during the summit, as per the parameter set and according to their performance during the last five years.
